Timbers trio push side to the top

Maybe but for now the chemistry around newcomer Brian Fernandez must grow and develop in every match the Portland Timbers play. With their already settle play makers in Diego Valeri, Sebastian Blanco and Diego Chara.

This has relied heavily in their skills and mastery in the field but the lack of creativity and a final touch were missing from last season, but Fernandez is looking like their definite answer.

So far, in four matches one coming as a substitute in Houston the duo of Sebastian Blanco and Brian Fernandez worked in unison. As his countryman Sebastian Blanco making his best efforts and with a beautiful pass made it possible for Brian to score his first goal in MLS and as a Portland Timber.

As Fernandez in three matches the man has scored four goals, against Philadelphia he delivered with a double an assisted by Diego Chara, Diego Valeri and Andy Polo. In addition of his recent achievement in his first game in Providence Park against the LAFC with Jeremy Ebobisse and Jorge Villafaña the contributors.

Looks like Brian Fernandez for sure has fit with his new team, but one question arises when it comes in the field and his work with Diego Valeri and Sebastian Blanco the brains of the offensive attack.

For Brian Fernandez being shutdown in the LAFC game in the first half, the lad in the second started generating a number of opportunities and finally connecting with Valeri and Blanco.

However the need to build this trio into one unit will be around manager Giovanni Savarese soon he put in place a set lineup and more important a more offensive prone formation like a 4-4-2.

In the end the way I see this squad after the international breaks and US Open Cup competitions are put behind, it will become providential for the Rose City squad to start a positive run.

Many state that unity is elemental in the success of a team, and being a team effort, my conclusion will be the alliance the Andean will develop in the course of the season that will become definitely become wholesome for opposing defenses.

Lookout for Diego Valeri, Sebastian Blanco and Brian Fernandez!
