VANCOUVER, BC–This time, Vancouver Whitecaps advanced in the first round of the Canadian Championship by defeated Valour FC of Winnipeg, 2-0, at BC Place. Russell Teibert and Ryan Raposo got the goals in a three-minute span over the Canadian Premier League side.
The Whitecaps move on to face Calvary FC of Calgary in the next round in Calgary. Calvary famously defeated the Whitecaps in the 2019 edition of the competition.
