Columbus, OH- With their playoff fate on the line Columbus Crew SC came through. On Saturday night in front of 20,034 at MAPFRE Stadium the Crew defeated the Chicago Fire 3-0 keeping their playoff hopes alive. Goals were scored by Harrison Afful (8′), Justin Meram (50′), and Dilly Duka (59′). The win moves the Crew (8-12-11, 35 points) to within seven points of the Philadelphia Union (11-12-9, 32 points) for the sixth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
