Bayern Beat: 13 called for Internationals

INTERNATIONAL DUTY:  No fewer than 13 Bayern Munich players have been called for this weekend’s World Cup Qualifiers, including five for Germany. The full list is as follows:

GERMANY (Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller):  vs. Czech Republic on Saturday and vs. Northern Ireland on Tuesday, October 11th.
FRANCE (Kingsley Coman):  vs. Bulgaria on Friday and @ Netherlands next Monday.
PORTUGAL (Renato Sanches):  vs. Andorra on Friday and @ Faroe Islands next Monday.
AUSTRIA (David Alaba):  vs. Wales on Thursday and @ Serbia on Sunday.
POLAND (Robert Lewandowski):  vs. Denmark on Saturday and vs. Armenia on Tuesday, October 11th.
SPAIN (Thiago, Javi Martinez):  @ Italy on Thursday (1:45pm, ESPN2) and @ Albania on Sunday.
CHILE (Arturo Vidal):  @ Ecuador on Thursday and @ Peru on Tuesday, October 11th.
USA (Julian Green):  Friendlies @ Cuba on Friday and vs. New Zealand on Tuesday, October 11th.
DIE FRAUEN:  The Bayern Munich Women’s squad begin UEFA Women’s Champions League play on Wednesday against Scottish side Hibernian in Edinburgh at 1:30pm CT at Easter Road. The return leg is at Grünwalderstrasse the next Wednesday at 11am CT. The Women are currently 6th in the Frauen-Bundesliga getting after getting their second win of the year on Sunday against Bayer Leverkusen.
RESERVES:  Bayern Munich II fell to the Regionalliga Bayern’s bottom side, SpVgg Bayern Hof, 1-0 on Sunday. The Reserve squad remain second, level on points over VfR Garching and 12 points behind SpVgg Unterhaching. Their next match is at home on Friday against FC Augsburg II.
