2016/17 – The Year in Women’s Soccer now on presale
The off season started for the Houston Dash last week as they announced they have exercised the 2017 contract options on 12 players.
The players who will be part of the Dash roster are as follows:
Forwards: Rachel Daly, Melissa Henderson, Kealia Ohai and Chioma Ubogagu.
Midfielders: Amber Brooks, Caity Heap and Denise O’Sullivan.
Defenders: Poliana, Becca Moros, Cami Privett and Cari Roccaro.
Goalkeeper: Lydia Williams.
The Dash are hoping to keep midfielder Andressa, goalkeeper Bianca Henninger and defender Stephanie Ochs, who are out of contract and have been extended new contract offers. In addition the team announced they have declined to offer defender Ellie Brush a new contract.
US Women’s National Team midfielders Morgan Brian and Carli Lloyd, as well as Canadian forward Janine Beckie and defender Allysha Chapman remain on the club’s roster as Federation Players.
With these contracts the Dash start to work on next season, where they will try to qualify for the playoffs for the first time.
