Indy Eleven 0-North Carolina FC 0

Indy Eleven kept their undefeated streak at home alive on Saturday with a 0-0 draw against North Carolina FC. Defense was the name of the game with the Eleven’s back three of Alex Crognale, Neveal Hackshaw, and Karl Ouimette each making key clears inside their own penalty area. NCFC’s best chance at goal came in the second half when Dre Fortune hit a low shot towards Indy’s far post. However, goalkeeper Evan Newton made the sprawling save to keep the score level.

The Eleven did have their own chances at goal with Dane Kelly and Thomas Enevoldsen working together to stretch NCFC’s defense. Carolina goalkeeper Alec Tambakis was more than up for the task making five saves to earn the clean sheet.

With the point Indy (4-2-2, 14 points) have now drawn each of their last two matches. They will host the Charleston Battery on Saturday. As for North Carolina (4-1-3 ,15 points), they remain in the top four of the USL Championship. Their road trip on Sunday continues North of the border as they take on the Ottawa Fury.
