4′ GOAL Awful start from the ‘Caps. Koffie turned the ball over and the defense split like the Red Sea allowing Ameobi to finish under Tornaghi.
16′ Adekugbe had to be substituted early. Jordan Harvey came on and helped shore up the out-of-sorts defense.
24′ Flores plays a nice one-two with Mattocks and attempts a shot from distance. Ends up wide of the far post. Vancouver only just coming into this game.
Christian Dean had a nightmare first half and it didn’t improve much in the second half.
While the team struggled to gel, the supporters were in full voice throughout urging their side to find the equalizer.
66′ Erik Hurtado was gifted a huge opportunity thanks to Darren Mattocks endeavor. The Jamaican was clobbered by the last defender, the ball squirted to Hurtado on the 18 and he slammed his shot wide under pressure. Big chance wasted.
74′ Tim Parker did his best to hold down the fort. And he had to show off his immense speed ploughing Lance Laing off the ball as he streaked towards goal.
87′ GOAL The worst player on the park came up with the equalizer. FC Edmonton failed to clear their and Gershon Koffie was in the right place to tap past VanOekel.
Eddie goalkeeper in VanOekel was in no rush to give the ball back to the Whitecaps who were coming alive in the dying stages.
