The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that they have loaned out midfielder Tommy Thompson and forward Adam Jahn to their USL affiliate, Sacramento Republic FC. The terms are listed in the following press release

Earthquakes Loan Thompson, Jahn to USL Affiliate Sacramento Republic FC
SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have loaned midfielder Tommy Thompson and forward Adam Jahn to the club’s USL affiliate Sacramento Republic FC ahead of their season-opening match against Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Friday, March 25. Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the two agreements, San Jose retains the right to recall both players at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Thompson, 20, has played in 32 matches (12 starts) for San Jose since signing the first-ever Homegrown contract with the club in 2014. He has appeared in eight USL matches on loan with Republic FC over the last two seasons, making five starts. He tallied a goal and two assists with Republic FC in 2015.
Jahn, 25, has appeared in 52 games (22 starts) for the Quakes since 2013, tallying five goals and one assist. He was previously loaned to Republic FC during the 2014 season and appeared in 17 USL matches and all three of their USL playoff matches. He scored six goals during the regular season and one goal during the postseason against Wilmington Hammerheads FC. Jahn also scored the first home goal in Republic FC history and is 13th all-time in minutes played.
