After a sea of declarations and practices in the United States, Didier Drogba will finally maing his 2016 debut for the Montreal Impact. The timing could not be better as the Impact will face FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium at 9PM Eastern Time.
At the age of 38, the ex-Chelsea player will try to contribute to his team and claims to be ready to face the FC Dallas, who in a limited time this season have proven themselves to be one of the best home teams in Major League Soccer.
Likewise, one of the captains, Impact midfielder Ignacio Piatti will ensure that his team is focused and confident in bringing three points back home. With an an improved understanding of the French language, the Argentinian striker acknowledges that their opponents bring important elements such as Fabian Castillo and Mauro Diaz. Furthermore, in respect to the re-integration of Didier Drogba, Piatti points out that this will ultimately be Mauro Biello’s decision if the striker will appear in the lineup this evening.
Other IMFC players shared his point of view in front of the press, defender Laurent Ciman, who assured that their season was off to good start and that although FC Dallas’ recent defeat against Houston, they need to keep their feet on the ground.
Similarly, striker Dominic Orduro was clear that they weighed the scandalous defeat of 5-0 that their rival team suffered last week, they will not come out overconfident, on the contrary, they will have in mind that they will face a strong and solid opposing team.
It is important to signal that this match will be the second chance for Colombian Oscar Pareja’s team to play in front of local supporters. They will have to demonstrate once again that they know how to impose themselves on their opponents.
We shall see how both clubs will perform tonight and the importance for each team to establish themselves as the strongest in their respective Conferences.
