After returning from Barranquilla with a 1-1 draw against Colombia’s U-23 team, the United States Olympic team could not get the result they needed in their second leg match at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX. The USA lost 2-1 and they could not generate a goal (their score came from a Deiver Machado own goal).
The 3-2 loss on aggregate means the U.S. U-23 failed to qualify for the Men’s olympic tournament for a second consecutive edition. Head Coach Andi Herzog, Seattle Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris and Chelsea F.C. defender Matt Miazga shared their comments after the game:
