Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-0573
Starting XI:

David Ousted 7.0
Another game where he didn’t have to make any huge saves to get the clean sheet. Was all over the crosses into the book at the end of the game to stop any Dynamo pressure.

Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-1104
Fraser Aird 7.5
Continued the strong play he showed last week against the Seattle Sounders. Was able to get up and down the wing in first half and got some decent crosses into the box.

Andrew Jacobson 7.0
Was called into the CB position with Kendall Waston and Tim Parker away on international duty. Was very solid all game long.

Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-0668
Pa-Modou Kah 7.0
First start of the season after struggling with injuries throughout the pre-season. Was very vocal all game long and helped out the fellow defenders when needed.

Jordan Harvey 8.0
Best Whitecaps defender this game and has been all season long. Was always in the right spot on the pitch and jumped up at the perfect times to help the offence.

Matias Laba 7.5
After struggling the first two games due to his lack of fitness missing a good portion of the pre-season he has settled nicely in the past two games.

Kekuta Manneh 5.5
Continues to struggle after missing end of last season and a good portion of the pre-season with an injury. Needs to find his footing on the pitch and start making a difference on the score sheet.

Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-0702
Pedro Morales 7.5
Four games and he has four goals to start the season. Sure they have all been penalties by they still count the same as any other way of scoring.

Cristian Techera 7.0
After struggling with his fitness this season, he has slowly been getting into game shape in these first four weeks. Was able to get some fouls called in the first 30 minutes that gave the Whitecaps a chance to dictate play.

Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-0650
Masato Kudo 7.0
Got his first MLS start out of the way. Missed a clear breakaway in the opening minutes of the game that he should have buried in the net. Got a PK call with some great hustle in the box that lead to the Morales game winning goal.

Octavio Rivero 6.0
Needs to start scoring, plain and simple! He gets paid to score. Maybe time for Kudo and Perez to get the starts and sit him on the bench for a game or two.

Subs:

Sam Adekugbe 6.5 (min 69′)
Saw his first action of the season in this game. Came on as a MF sub to help gut out the win. Had some nice runs down the pitch to get the ball out of the Whitecaps defensive end.

Jordan Smith 6.0 (min 78′)
Also came into the game as a MF player but didn’t have the same impact Adekugbe did. Needs to find his spot on this roster moving forward.

Nicolas Mezquida 6.5 (min 87′)
Finally we got to see Mezquida this season, has struggled getting back from injury sustained in the pre-season. Didn’t get enough of a run to make a difference in this game.
