T2 debuts with 3-1 win over Real Monarchs

T2 made a victorious debut in USL at Merlo Field in a clear 3-1 win against Real Monarchs on Sunday evening. Goals were scored by Belmar on minute 31, assisted by Tshuma, and at minute 54, after pressing the goal keeper.

Winchester rounded up the count at minute 58 with an assist from Thoma, while Navarro tallied for the Monarchs in minute 59. It was a an evening of exciting aggressive football and magnificent weather with attendance officially tallied at 3,667. The four players loaned by the Portland Timbers MLS side, Taylor Peay, Schillo Tshuma, Andy Thoma, and Nick Besler had good performances especially Peay.

Following their debut win on Sunday, T2 will play again on Merlo Field on April 2 against the division’s champion Sacramento Republic FC at 7:00 PM.
