Toronto FC 2 – 1 Inter Miami

Hartford, CT – In a match where the rain played its own part, Toronto FC didn’t perform in their best version after a few losses in their last few matches. But this time around, the match turned against Inter Miami, after they let go of opportunities to have an historic win for the David Beckham Team on this field.

Rodolfo Pizarro was TFC’s nightmare for a couple actions orchestrated by the ex-Mexican player of Chivas, until the first goal of game by Blaise Matuidi in the 42nd minute just before the end of the 1st half.

This is not the first time the Canadian Team goes to the brake losing 1-0.

One more time, the values of Greg Vanney and his power to transmit any strategy on the field to his players. TFC went into the second half with everything to score and protect the Quentin Westberg arc.

In the 52nd minute, Ayo Akinola scored to equalize and then fault on Alex Pozuelo gives way to a penalty kick perfectly executed by the Spanish international.

This places the Vanney Boys once again in second place in the Eastern Conference table with 44 points and their next match will be against New York Red Bulls who are trailing back to the eighth position.
