In their first of three preseason games, the Thorns were edged out by a 62nd minute goal from the Red Stars Arin Gilliland. While the game was a loss for the Thorns, the fans were treated to a preview of four new players, including Angela Salem, Sandra Yu, Midge Purce and Ifeoma Onumonu.
Next, the Thorns will face the US U23 team this Wednesday at University of Portland’s Merlo field, kick off at 7:30.
