We present to you something that is long overdue. As you are able to guess, we do not have people at all MLS and NWSL venues. If you do not see your team here, we have a story on them elsewhere on the site. Therefore, we present a brief summary of those matches here in random order. We’ll start with the NWSL where a former teammate haunted her former club:

Gotham FC 2-1 Chicago Red Stars:  Ella Stevens scored against her former tam in the 90th minute to give Gotham the 2-1 win. Lynn Williams surpassed Sam Kerr for the all-lead goal scoring mark with 79 in the 57th minute to give Gotham the lead before Penelope Hocking equalized for the visitors in the 74th minute.

Houston Dash 0-2 Portland Thorns:  Portland won their sixth on the bounce at Shell Engery Stadium. Ana Dias netted her first NWSL goal while Olivia Moultrie added a second. Shelby Hogan made three saves en route to a clean sheet.

North Carolina Courage 1-0 Utah Royals:  Kaliegh Kurtz got the game’s only goal in the 76th minute to give the Courage the win. Utah have now lost seven of their last eight and remain rooted to the bottom of the NWSL table with just four points (1-8-1).

Bay FC 2-1 San Diego Wave:  Bay FC ended a five-match skid coming from behind to defeat San Diego. Kyra Carusa scored first for the Wave. Scarlett Camberos equalized and then the hosts forced a Hannah Lundkvist own goal in the 87th minute.

Washington Spirit 4-2 Angel City FC: Alyssa and Gisele Thompson made history by becoming the first sibling duo to start together in an NWSL regular season match. Trinity Rodman scored twice and Casey Krueger and Ouleye Sarr scored one each for the Spirit at Audi Field.

Kansas City Current 3-3 Racing Louisville:  Savannah DeMelo scored in the 13th minute of stoppage time to rescue a point for Racing after Gabriel Robinson thought she gave the Current all three points in the 2nd minute of stoppage time. It was a case of the Current going up before Racing equalizing three times over at CPKC Stadium. The Current remain top and unbeaten at 6-0-4.

MLS:

Toronto FC 5-1 CF Montreal:  Montreal suffered their fourth straight loss in this thrashing at BMO Field. Federico Bernardeschi got a hat trick with Matty Longstaff and Prince Ownsu also scoring for TFC, who move to fifth in the East while Montreal sink to 13th.

Nashville SC 1-1 Atlanta United:  Bartosz Slisz cancelled out Hany Mukhtar’s strike at Atlanta earned a point at Geodis Park. On the minus side for the Five Stripes, their winless streak now stands at eight.

FC Cincinnati 3-1 St. Louis CITY SC:  The Garys made it six on the bounce and keep pace with Inter Miami. Lucho Acosta had a goal and two assists on the evening. St. Louis fall to 3-3-7 and are currently just above the playoff line in the West.

Austin FC 3-2 Sporting Kansas City:  The Verde are an unlikely third in the West after condemning SKC to their fourth straight loss on a brace by Jaden Obrian and a goal by Sebastian Driussi. SKC are now winless in their last seven and are just above San Jose for bottom of the West.

Houston Dynamo 1-1 FC Dallas:  This draw means that Austin FC can win Copa Tejas with victory in either of their two remaining matches against these side. The Verde next play FC Dallas in Frisco on July 17th and play Houston on September 21st. Peter Musa cancelled out Amine Bassi’s goal just before halftime.

Real Salt Lake 5-3 Colorado Rapids:  RSL retained the Rocky Mountain Cup and kept a four-point lead atop the West. Chicho Arango and Andre Gomes each scored twice for the Claret and Cobalt. The Rapids remain in sixth.

San Jose Earthquakes 0-1 Orlando City SC:  Jack Lynn scored in the 89th minute to give the Lions the win as the Earthquakes remain bottom of the West losing back-to-back games after winning back-to-back against LAFC and at Colorado.
