Toronto, ON – The team of Greg Vanney defeats the MLS Champion at BMO Field!
What an amazing and dramatic match of soccer, from the beginning until the end; with a magnificent atmosphere, back and forward, goal shots and the most important, both teams played without their full roaster.
It is Tsubasa Endoh who opens the score with the quickest goal ever senn in TFC history with a few second from the beginning.
The Champions react at minute 17′ by Martinez with a penalty and Gressel at 22′ marks what seemes the turning point of the match where the advantage is on Atlanta’s side.
Just in the moment where Atlanta was dominating the encounter, The Spanish Star, Alejandro Pozuelo, penetrates the red of his rivals and fighting the rest of the match to the very end at 94′ minutes giving the victory to Toronto.
With a bunch of players grounded from the TFC Academy, the Vanney Boys recover the victory encouraged a little by the bad luck from Martinez who missed a penalty shot just at the end of the game.
Important side note, our man of Virginia, headcoach Greg Vanney, celebrated an important milestones, his 200th match leading this great group of Toronto. He accumulated multiple Voyageurs Cup, in 2017 named MLS and CONCACAF coach of the year, led his team to victory for the MLS Cup, received the Supporterwas finalist in 2018 in the CONCACAF Cup.
