Toronto FC 1 – 1 Orlando City SC
Toronto, ON – The Canadian team was back home at BMO Field yesterday and they earned one point against Orlando City SC.
With Javier Perez in charge, the return to the new normal isn’t easy after all the disaster left behind by the Chris Armas era.
One definite positive is the return of the Man of New Jersey, Jozy Altidore along with a solid Alex Bono in the arc.
At 72′, it was the one and only Jozy Altidore, returning with force, who scored for Toronto FC and then in a very complex situation, Nani converts the scoreboard to 1-1 by the maximal penalty.
What this means for Toronto FC is that this last draw puts them at the second to last position on the Eastern Conference table. Nothing short of a miracle will be needed to get them at least qualified for the playoffs. Let’s see if the return to playing on their home turf now might spark some greatness we have seen in the past from this Canadian team.
