Montreal Impact 2- Tampa Bay Rowdies 1
In case the footballing world wasn’t aware on Saturday night Ignacio Piatti once again showed that he is a pretty good player. The Argentine wizard added another game-winning goal to his stacked C/V this time helping the Montreal Impact defeat the Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-1 in the Suncoast Invitational in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Two of Montreal’s offseason signings, Saphir Tader and Michael Petrasso combined in the first half to give Montreal the early advantage. Petrasso, formerly of Queens Park Rangers, found a diving Tader, formerly of Bologna, far post in the 44th minute.

In the second half, the Rowdies would equalize with Sebastian Guenzatti laying in a pass for Jochen Graf to knock it home. But Montreal would not be deterred with Piatti hitting the back of the net just two minutes later with Petrasso and Tader combining to create a chance for Piatti.
