Toronto, ON – The team of Brian Schmetzer got some justice with their 3 points, winning 2-1 against a Toronto FC.
Both teams coming into this match with many key players left out due to injuries.
That said, in the first half, both teams were on the attack to get their goals early on.
Sounders FC made their first mark at minute 25′, when the frontman, Will Bruin opened the score for the visiting team.
The Reds came firing back close to the end of the first half, equalizing the match with an amazing header by the shining star, Jonathan Osorio.
In the second half, Vanney had to switch gears a little by pulling out the International, Victor Vazquez, who sustained an injury in the first half. Vazquez had recently returned from another injury that left him out of action in a few of the Concacaf important matches from the past months.
Also within the first minutes of this second period, Sounders were able to take the advantage once again with a goal from the young, Handwalla Bwana, who scored his first MLS career goal.
Unfortunately for the home team, they simply couldn’t put any additional goal in those las 45 minutes to equalize or even win this match.
