The Sounders were off last week because of the international break. The break couldn’t have come at a better time for the battered and bruised Sounders. Coming off one of the worst weeks in Sounders MLS history. Losing both games in the league and the CCL by a combined 6-0 score also was probably not the start that the team was looking.
So while the the first team might have been off there are plenty of first-teamers in action as the FIFA international window is open.
Four Sounders are representing their countries in international play. Cristian Roldan (United States), Roman Torres (Panama), Gustav Svensson (Sweden) and Jordy Delem (Martinique). Not included on the list is Nicolas Lodeiro who would have most likely been called in by Uruguay if he wasn’t injured.
Five Sounders signed standard USL loan agreements for 2018. the Sounders signed to the loan agreements Alex Roldan, Handwala Bwana, Henry Wingo, Bryan Meredithand Jordan McCrary. S2 head out on the road for their road match of the season. S2 travels to play the Swope Park Rangers. Sounders 2 have a few selection issues as well with Francisco Narbon out with a fractured toe, Ray Saari’s availabilty still unknown he missed the home opener with a leg injury. Sam Rogers and academy player Jake Morris called into the USA Under-20 team. The S2 games kicks off at 5:30 p.m. pt and will be streamed on Youtube.
