FC Kansas City forward Shea Groom was voted Prost’s Eisen Frauen of week seven for her role in the win against the Orlando Pride last Saturday. Groom was involved in nearly all threatening plays throughout the game. Pure grit, she maintained possession and sent stellar passes to help Kansas City pick up their first win of the season.
The Missouri native is in her second season with FC Kansas City and has been an impact player for the club. An aggressive and attacking forward, she is third in the league for shots on goal.

*The Prost Eisen Frauen (Iron Women) award is given by Prost Amerika to an outstanding player each week. Not just for a spectacular goal or incredible save, it’s in recognition of a game’s worth of work. The athlete chosen is one that impacts the match through their dedication to winning every play. Each week five athletes (one from each of the games played) will be up for nomination.
The award is voted on by the writers/photographers of Prost Amerika who cover the NWSL, as well as the Supporter Groups of the teams.
