July 17, 2015 at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. Steven Gerrard, with just one game under his belt as a member of the LA Galaxy, lets his presence be known, scoring his first goal for Los Angeles in the 37′ against San Jose. The Galaxy was trailing San Jose when Gerrard scored the equalizer. Los Angeles went on to win the match 5-2.
September 12, 2015 Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. LA’s Robbie Rogers gets fouled by Montreal’s Nigel Reo-Coker in a match that ended in a scoreless draw.
We cannot tell if Gerrard is crying in this shot or if he is blinded by the light in California. Given that England can be a bit dark at times, it is most likely the latter.
Portland Timbers

2015 Portland Timbers- A victory celebration for the Portland Timbers. Interestingly enough, the city also set a Guinness record for highest ratio of flannel shirt wearers within a 100 mile radius.

September 16, 2015; San Jose, CA- I went with this shot because it tells a story – the familiar story of Chris Wondolowski scoring for the Earthquakes. This goal was his 14th (of 16) scored during the 2015 season against Montreal at Avaya Stadium in September. The referee in the background is indicating the goal and the defenders are obviously frustrated. An affable chap off the field, Wondo exhibits a fierce intensity that is particularly revealed when he scores — this shot is one of the best examples I’ve ever captured. – (Photo Credit: Lyndsay Radnedge)

Seattle Sounders
November 8, 2015; Frisco, TX- Here I captured the final joyful moment of Seattle Sounders forward Chad Marshall scoring the game-tying goal in the second leg of the MLS Western Conference semifinals. Thus it is my favorite from of 2015 photos – Dan McCooey
With Sounder, Portland, and Vancouver wins, along with an LA loss against SKC the Western Conference playoff matchups were solidified and The Sounders will play host to the LA Galaxy in yet another winner advance playoff matchup on Wednesday (photo credit: Brandon Bleek)
