The Philadelphia Union have struggled all year against Western opposition. Sunday night was no different in Chester, PA. The Union took the lead in the 44th minute, thanks to a Roland Alberg penalty goal. His 4th penalty goal and 7th goal of the season. Going into the locker room the Union have yet to lose a game when in the lead. Philly’s 5-1-0 record when leading at half took a hit, however, Sunday night. Real Salt Lake came out looking like a rejuvenated team, and created 2 beautiful goals before the hour mark. For the rest of the game RSL played great defense. The spacing between the defense and midfielders was never more than 15 yards, making it very difficult for the Union to break down the Salt Lake line.
