Inter Miami has finally confirmed its second designated player signing.

Rodolfo Pizarro has now officially completed his move from Monterrey despite having been in South Florida since last week.

The Mexican international even played and scored for Inter on the weekend, netting for the Herons in a 2-1 pre-season defeat to Philadelphia Union in St. Petersburg.

The transfer fee Inter will pay for Pizarro hasn’t been revealed, but 26-year-old arrives as the club’s second designated player, also taking up an international roster spot.

“We’re very happy to have a player of Rodolfo’s quality join the Club,” said COO and Sporting Director Paul McDonough.

“He is a creative midfielder who strengthens our roster and elevates everyone’s quality on the field.”

Pizarro arrives in South Florida having won the CONCACAF Champions League with Monterrey under Diego Alonso’s leadership.

Linking back up with his old head coach, the attacking midfielder is targeting more silverware having made the move to MLS.

“I came here without having to think about it,” he said. “I want to lift a cup with this Club, make MLS history with Inter Miami.”
