FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have agreed to a trade with Austin FC to acquire outside back Nick Lima for $275,000 GAM.
He will occupy a senior roster slot.
Nick Lima is a 29-year-old, 5’9 176 lb. defender from Castro Valley, California.
At the club level, Lima has played 211 career games (16,291 minutes) in the United States with PDL side Burlingame Dragons (2015-16), and MLS sides San Jose Earthquakes (2016-2020), and Austin FC (2020-2023).
New England will be Lima’s 4th professional team. His 3rd team in Major League Soccer.
In career numbers, the defender has 8 goals, 16 assists with 24 yellow cards and 1 red card in his career.
In regard to Lima’s international status, Lima was born in the United States and is of Mexican decent. He has represented the United States Men’s National Team 9 times in his career (all in 2019).
On November 20th, 2023, The Athletics’ Tom Bogert confirmed various reports first reported by Moontower Soccer that Lima was set to join the New England Revolution.

Lima was present at the New England Revolution versus Philadelphia Union playoff match on November 8th.
He is set to join the club after the trade window opens on December 11th.
