FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have reportedly expressed interest in signing Argentinian winger Joaquín Pereyra from Argentinian Primera División side Club Atlético Tucumán on loan from Rosario Central
He would occupy a senior roster slot and International Roster Slot according to MLS Roster rules.
Joaquín Pereyra is a 25-year-old, 6’1, 161lb winger from Paraná, Argentina.
At the club level, Pereyra has played 178 career games (10,617 minutes) across Argentina and Portugal. He began his career and still remains a player of Argentinian side Rosario Central (2016-present). While with Rosario, Pereyra has gone on loan twice. His loan spells were spent Portuguese side Futebol Clube de Famalicão (2020-21) and Club Atlético Tucumán (2021-present). If he were to join New England, it would be his 4th club.
Internationally, Pereyra has made 2 U-20 appearances for Argentina.
In career numbers, the winger has contributed 6 career goals, 12 assists, along with 32 yellow cards and 2 red cards.
According to Argentinian journalist César Luis Merlo, The New England Revolution had submitted a formal offer for the Argentinian winger.

According to further reports, Joaquín Pereyra has indicated to the board that he intends to leave the club. The deal being cooperated would include a 10% future sell-on clause.
The New England Revolution (0-0-0, 0pts.) return to the United States to begin their MLS season. They begin the season on the road in Washington, DC as they are set to face MLS Eastern Conference side D.C. United (0-0-0, 0 pts.) on Saturday, February 25th. The match kicks off in Audi Field at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
