Revolution preseason trialist Noble Okello set to sign for New England Revolution II

FOXBOROUGH, MA– First reported by Seth Macomber (Sethman31) on twitter, trialist Noble Okello is set to join New England Revolution II.

 

Noble Okello is a 20-year-old, 6ft 5in tall, 200lbs, center midfielder from Toronto, Canada.

The player started his playing career with Toronto FC and came up through their academy ranks with a combined 84 appearances across Toronto FC’s III, II and first teams. The player during his stint with Toronto also appeared in 12 matches on loan to Danish side Herfølge Boldklub Køge, more simply known as HB Køge. Along with this loan, Noble was invited and allowed to train with Bundesliga side Verein für Leibesübungen Wolfsburg, more simply known as VFL Wolfsburg FC in January of 2018 after attracting interest from the club. Following the 2022 MLS Season, Noble’s player option was declined by Toronto FC. MLS Insider Tom Bogert cited Noble Okello as a player to watch in the MLS Re-Entry Draft.

Entering the 2023 MLS Preseason, Noble went on trial with both Inter Miami and LA Galaxy and was rumored to sign a contract with LA Galaxy. Less than 24 hours later, the rumor of the LA Galaxy signing was ended, and he joined the New England Revolution preseason camp late.

Noble managed to play in 87 minutes in 2 eligible matches. 75 minutes versus FC Cincinnati (4-0 Loss) and 12 minutes versus Orlando City SC (2-1 win).

Noble signing for New England Revolution II puts him into a competitive lineup that will assist him to compete and make it back to the top level. Players whom he will be competing for minutes against include Jake Rohzansky, Brandon Bueno, and fellow Canadian Ben Awashie.

The New England Revolution II roster now stands at 16 professional players, and they are set to open their MLS Next Pro season debut in one month.
