The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

The team started their lineup in a 4-3-3 formation with Jacob Jackson starting in net with a backline of Pierre Cayet (left back), Colby Quinones, and Victor Souza as the center backs and with Peyton Miller (right back). The midfield consisted of Jake Rozhansky (left), Joshua Bolma (central) and Jakob Akanyirige (right). The forward roles were manned by Nakye Greenidge-Duncan (right), Brandonn Bueno (left) and Weverton as the lone striker.
The match kicked off with New England starting from the center circle and launching it into the Inter Miami defensive third.
Early on in the 7th minute, the Revolution jumped out with an early lead.

A beautifully lofted freekick by midfielder Jake Rozhansky found an unmarked Pierre Cayet at the far post to head it past Inter Miami II goalkeeper #29 CJ Dos Santos.
In the 16th minute, Inter Miami defender #44 Modesto Mendez entered the referee’s booklet with a yellow card for a harsh foul on Peyton Miller.
11 minutes later in the 27th minute, Inter Miami midfielder #57 Miles Perkovich entered the referee’s booklet with a yellow card for a harsh foul on Pierre Cayet
In the 30th minute, Inter Miami had their best chance of the half when #45 Lucas Meek received the ball on the left flank. He took 2 touches before cutting inside and unleashing a curling shot that struck the right post.
13 minutes later, Weverton had a chance of his own for New England after a ball was lofted to him in an attacking position. His shot struck the crossbar and went out for a goal kick.
The match entered halftime with the Revolution leading Inter Miami II 1-0.

Inter Miami II started the second half from the center circle and launching it into the New England defensive third.
In the 55th minute, Revolution midfielder Jake Rozhansky was issued a yellow card for a foul on #63 Lorenzo D’Agostini.
A minute later, Revolution Head Coach Clint Peay made four changes as he substituted Peyton Miller, Brandonn Bueno, Colby Quinones, and Nakye Greenidge-Duncan for Marcos Dias, Ben Awashie, Italo, and Malcolm Fry.
In the 57th minute, Inter Miami ran into trouble when Weverton had a break away and was sent off for a last man back challenge by Inter Miami defender #58 Farid Sar-Sar, sending Miami down to 10 men for the remaining 35 minutes.
In the 69th minute, Revolution midfielder Jacob Akanyirige was issued a yellow card. Moments later, Head Coach Clint Peay used his last substitution by replacing Akanyirige for Santiago Suarez.
In the 84th minute, Inter Miami midfielder #43 Lawson Sunderland was issued a yellow card for a foul on Santiago Suarez.
Entering the 90th minute, Revolution II goalkeeper Jacob Jackson was issued a yellow card for time wasting.
After the 90+3 minutes, the Revolution held on to the 1-0 win and moved to second place across MLS NEXT Pro.
