FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have hired Pablo Moreira and Blair Gavin as Assistant Coaches for the 2024 Season.
Pablo Moreira, 38, has 10+ years of coaching experience where he started with the Portland Timbers (2013-2017). He began as a video analyst before being elevated to an assistant role in 2014. Following Caleb Porter’s departure from Portland, Moreira followed Porter to the Columbus Crew (2019-2022) and remained with him throughout his entire tenure.
Moreira played under Head Coach Caleb Porter at the University of Akron from 2003-2007.
Blair Gavin, 35, has 6+ years of coaching experience. He began his career an Assistant Coach for Pheonix Rising FC of the USL Championship from 2018-2020. Gavin is an ex-MLS pro, who appeared in 2 matches in 2012 for the New England Revolution. He was acquired in a trade that sent Shalrie Joseph to Chivas USA.
Both coaches will report directly to Caleb Porter and join Clint Peay (Assistant Coach) and Kevin Hitchcock (Goalkeeper Coach) to round out the First Team Staff.
