Dylan Teves scored his second hat trick in as many games
Seattle, WA – The second seeded Washington Huskies were able to come back from single goal deficits twice in the November 27th game against the 15th seeded Indiana Hoosiers. Dylan Teves’ golden goal in the 96th minute would win the game for Washington, and give him his second straight hat trick here in the postseason.
First half
Indiana brought the fight to Washington right out of the gate, and kept their foot on the gas all game long. In the 28th minute, the Hoosiers would be able to capitalize on a Washington handball when Victor Bezerra would score the penalty to give Indiana the 1-0 lead on the road. The teams would continue to trade shots, but nothing would come of them as the halftime score would be 1-0, Indiana leading.
The game was a back and forth battle
Second half
The second half would be filled with fireworks, and the show would begin when Washington would draw a penalty kick with a Hoosiers foul in the box at the 47-minute mark. Dylan Teves would convert, equalizing the game at one. Indiana would waste no time, and just four minutes later the Hoosiers would score as Spencer Glass would tuck the ball into the net to go up 2-1. Another period of shot trading would commence, until the 74th minute when Dylan Teves would slot the ball into the bottom right of the net, giving him a brace and tying the game once again. The game would stay locked at 2-2, sending us to golden goal overtime.
Golden goal overtime
UW would dominate the overtime period from the start, getting a shot on just 12 seconds in. History would be made in the 96th minute when Dylan Teves would score, putting the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal and advancing the Huskies to the quarterfinals.

Etching his name into the history books
The history that I mentioned would be that Dylan Teves set the Washington postseason record for career goals with six, accomplishing that feat in just two matches. The hat trick pushes the Huskies to the elite eight for the fourth time in program history. Charlie Ostrem would add an assist, his fourth game in a row doing so.
Next stop for the Huskies
This team is special, and their journey continues after a game that showed their grit and resiliency. Despite conceding first, and despite never leading until the golden goal. This team showed up and stayed in it, so their magical run continues. The next opponent for UW is Saint Louis, who is ranked tenth in the tournament. The match will be at Husky Soccer Stadium on December 4th, starting at 5PM PST
