Chilean received congratulatory tweet from Liga MX side.

Per Sam Steskjal from the Athletic and Pumas UNAM website, it appears that Chilean striker Felipe Mora is set to play with the Portland Timbers on loan with the option to buy him as a TAM signing.

The 26-year-old native of Santiago de Chile received a congratulatory tweet from Pumas UNAM in his headshot next to the Portland Timbers logo.

Felipe Mora comes with an impressive CV from his playing career in his native Chile with Audax Italiano and later with the Universidad de Chile moving to Mexican side Cruz Azul and later to Pumas UNAM.

As the Rose City team currently in negotiations with Legia Warsaw forward Jarozlaw Niezgoda, the arrival of Mora is to build up a more aggressive and dynamic to the Timbers attack.

His debut was with Audax Italiano where he played from 2011-2016 and tallied 121 appearances and 33 goals later moving to Audax Italiano B from 2012-2014 with 5 appearances he scored 4 goals.

Moving to Universidad de Chile from 2016-2017, he had 26 appearances and 18 goals before moving to Liga MX with Mexican giant Cruz Azul.

In the Mexican league, Mora played with Cruz Azul from 2017-2018 with 33 appearances and 14 goals before moving on to Pumas UNAM on loan from 2018-2019 having 51 appearances and 15 goals.

Felipe Mora has a total of 14 games on the international level with the Chilean National Team with 9 appearances with the U-20 and the senior team with 5 scoring three goals overall.
