Includes doubleheader with the Fire at Soldier Field.
CHICAGO, IL–The Chicago Red Stars announced their fixture list for their tenth season in the NWSL and 14th season overall. The highlight is that they will play their first match ever at Soldier Field on Saturday, July 30th, as part of a doubleheader with the Fire. The Fire will play Atlanta United at 4pm CT while the Red Stars will take on San Diego Wave FC at 7pm. It is the fifth time that the Fire and Red Stars have held a doubleheader with the previous four at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.
As for the regular season itself, it will be a 22-match fixture list with each team playing the other teams home and away. The regular season home opener is Saturday, April 30th at SeatGeek Stadium against Racing Louisville with a 7pm kickoff. All but one home match for the Red Stars will be on Saturday or Sunday. The biggest challenge will be a four-match road trip in August and September against Angel City FC (August 14), North Carolina Courage (August 20), Racing Louisville (August 27), and OL Reign (September 9). The regular season concludes on October 2nd at home to Angel City FC.
Before that, there is the matter of the NWSL Challenge Cup which starts Sunday for the Red Stars against Houston Dash. Kickoff is at 6pm on Paramount+. The first of three home Cup matches will be on Saturday, March 25th at 7:30pm against Kansas City Current–also on Paramount+.
