CHICAGO, IL–Earlier, the Chicago Red Stars re-signed forward Yuki Nagasato and defender Arin Wright. On Wednesday, the Red Stars made more roster decisions in preparation for 2023.

The club picked up the 2023 options on defender Tatumn Milazzo, forward Ella Stevens, defender Kayla Sharples, defender Bianca St-Georges, and goalkeeper Emily Boyd. Midfielder Sarah Luebbert and defender Zoe Morse were offered new contracts after their previous ones expired after this season.

Midfielders Danielle Colaprico, Morgan Gautrat, and Vanessa DiBernardo as well as forwards Kealia Watt and Rachel Hill are Free Agents under the new collective bargaining agreement and the club hopes to bring these players back for 2023. Watt sat out the 2022 season on maternity leave while Colaprico, Gautrat, and DiBernardo were stalwarts in midfield for the Red Stars.

Midfielder Channing Foster and defender Mikenna McManus have been waived and are free to sign with another team.

At present, the Red Stars have 18 players under contract including goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher and forward Mallory Pugh, and defender Casey Krueger who also missed last season on maternity leave.
