Red Stars Fall in Houston Opener

Houston Dash 2-0 Chicago Red Stars

HOUSTON, TXThe Chicago Red Stars opened their fifth NWSL season with a 2-0 loss at Houston Dash.

A long ball from Amber Brooks found Kealia Ohai in behind the Red Stars defense and beat Alyssa Naeher far post. Rachel Daly doubled the lead ten minutes from time with a curling shot that just got inside the far post and out of the reach of Naeher.

The Red Stars had just two shots on target the whole game compared to eight for the Dash.

The Red Stars have their home opener next Saturday at Toyota Park against FC Kansas City at 3pm. The match will be streamed on go90.com and the go90 app.
