Rapids Remain Winless at Home

COMMERCE CITY, CO–A battle between Major League Soccer’s two bottom feeders ended in a goalless stalemate that cuts them adrift of 12th-place Minnesota United, let alone the playoff line to which the Galaxy and Rapids are now ten and eleven points adrift of, respectively. The Rapids are now winless in nine home league matches this season (0-4-5) and won just once in their last 12 league matches. Meanwhile, Galaxy play to their third successive draw and have won just twice in their last ten league games.

The Rapids came closest early in the second half when a corner and then a flick-on header just evaded Sam Nicholson for what would have been a tap-in. The Rapids had eight shots, but just one on target. The Galaxy had three of their 13 shots on target–all saved by William Yarborough.
