Colorado Rapids 2-1 FC Dallas

COMMERCE CITY, CO–The Colorado Rapids have ended their nine-match winless streaks both at home and in league play with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. It is also the first home win of the season for the Rapids in league play.

Dallas went up in the 18th minute after Sam Junqua’s shot deflected off Lalas Abubakar and into the back of the net. However, Andreas Maxso would head in a corner from Connor Ronan to level the score and give the Rapids their first goal since May 31st.

The Rapids would get their break in the 61st minute when VAR determined that Junqua handled a cross in the area and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Brian Galvan converted the spot kick and Colorado took the lead.  That would be all the Rapids needed to end their nine-match winless streaks both at home and in league play.
