Ottawa, ON – Pooring rain was the starting lineup for this match in Ottawa against the Memphis 901 FC.
Notwithstanding the weather, this encounter should have been a rather easy one for the local team considering the important gap in which they stand in the current table versud that of Memphis 901.
First half was under the rain and both teams defended well, Fury was definitely the most aggressive in the offense but did not put any balls in the opponent’s arc.
The second half came with a relief from the rain, but the hard work from Fury simply did not end in a win.
Jeff Caldwell did a fabulous job defending his door with a couple of nice saves against the strength of the home team.
The Canadian goalkeeper, Irving Callum, did an awesome job aswell and gaining himself a fourth clean sheet in this 2019 season.
The Fury’s Senegalese player, Mour Samb, was on a streak a few matches back with goals in every game, but has not seemed to find the right play to get him the score in the last two matches.
Next USL match up for Ottawa will be on the road with a local competition in between facing MLS’s Montreal Impact in it’s second edition of Capcity Cup. Maybe just the encounter to boost them back into a winning mindframe.
