Minnesota United plays host to Indy Eleven at NCS stadium in a reverse fixture, following a 1-0 loss to the Spring Champions last Saturday.
Last week, Indy controlled possessions most of the game, but United continues to find opportunities on the counter attack. One big key for the side will be capitalizing.
Jeb Brodsky will be back in the lineup today center defensive midfielder after serving a one game suspension last match. Along with Aaron Pitchkolan, the duo have certainly helped bolster the Loons defense creating turnovers at midfield that turn into counter attacking opportunities.
Two of the leagues top scores will go head to head for the second week in row. Indy’s Éamon Zayed is currently one goal shy of tying Christian Ramirez for top scorer in the NASL. Last match both we’re held goalless. Ramirez failed to scored on a penalty kick in the 38th minute mark.
The major key to this match will lie with each goal keeper. Jon Busch registered a clean sheet after United attempted 12 shots, and he held off a hungry Minnesota attack late in the game.
On the attack, the Loons might be without Danny Cruz following an injury late last match. Lance Laing finished out the match and might end up starting.
