Two early goals from Christian Ramirez was all Minnesota United needed to top Indy Eleven Saturday night. Their 2-0 win, finally got the Loons over the hump with Indy, after suffering a 1-0 defeat last week.
Danny Cruz was able to draw a penalty in the 2nd minute, which Ramirez knocked home to give United a 1-0 lead. Then at the 6 minute mark, Ramirez knocked home a Stephan Pinho cross to extend the lead to 2-0.
Indy possessed the ball 63% of the match, and registered 19 total shots, but only 4 came close to the net. In the first half, the Loons held the side to 1 shot on goal. United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock recorded his 5th clean sheet of 2016, 1st of the Fall Season.
With 3 Points, United now sits in 4th place in the Fall Season table. Up next the side has 2 matches this week, with AFC Bournemouth coming to NSC this Wednesday in an international Friendly. Their next NASL match will be Saturday against Fort Lauderdale.
