Jonathan Rodriguez finally opened up his tally with a brace in a game scheduled in midweek when they came from behind in the second half to deliver a 4-2 win over a puzzled Quakes side.
With Matchday 14 in the books, the Portland Timbers scored a very important win over San Jose. Jonathan Rodriguez’s first goal came in the 80th minute with a beauty of a goal by beating the likes of William Yarborough who in the first half was very stingy with the Portland Timbers not allowing them any scoring opportunities.
However, in the second half, after a couple of wrongful plays against the Quakes, one a red card and the second a penalty doomed the visitors.
Rodriguez became the game hero with a play that awarded the Timbers a penalty and tying the game and later being the Man of the Match with a beauty of a goal assisted by Santiago Moreno on an amazing play for the final score of the match.
Evander despite being on the bench, still the Carioca delivered with assists throughout the game and results speak louder than words and never giving up in the course of the game.
