Portland Timbers head coach Caleb Porter updated the media gathered around the rainy training session on the injury status of key players.

Liam Ridgewell is going to be out for at least two weeks; Vytas, like Ridgewell, a casualty of injury during training,  was seen training separately on the side of the pitch while subs and reserve players were the only ones doing a full training day.

Costa Rican international David Guzmán, Porter  revealed, has a separated shoulder AC joint. As it is also the case with Vytas, they are taking it day to day to determine to see whether either will be fit to play against Houston next Saturday at Providence park.

About David Guzmán’s shoulder injury evolution, Porter had to say “It is day to day… because this guys aren’t baseball players, they don’t use their shoulder’s a ton, but he has to have enough strength. So he will be definitely out of training the next couple days, we will know more then…”.
