Aljaz Ivacic, the Portland Timbers starting goalkeeper, was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 7 per the league announcement.
Ivacic 28, recorded his second shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw against the Houston Dynamo at PNC Park last Saturday. For the Slovenian, the man in every game is showing off his readiness to defend his team arches.
So far, in the season the man from Slovenia has played in every match as a starter and in the game against Vancouver Whitecaps, the man stopped a penalty kick on April 9. He’s averaging a total of 740 minutes in eight games played along with 28 saves.
