Tobin Heath was very incisive and her runs tirelessly pushed the Thorns forward.
Allie Long’s forward runs were again critical for the Thorns. She scored the first and only goal with a header assisted by Sinead Farrelly.
Long and Farrelly celebrated Long’s 15th career goal with the Thorns, a goal that puts her in the top of the Thorns leaderboard, tied with Alex Morgan, who today saw the match from the bench.
Canadian international Christine Sinclair subbed Mana Shim at minute 70.
