Chris Hegardt opened the scoring for the Defiance at Cheney Field, but goals from Jack Skahan, Christiano Francois, and Gilbert Fuentes gave Reno 1868 FC the 3-1 win in the opening match for both sides in the USL Championship. Tacoma’s next match is Wednesday at home against San Diego Loyal at 7pm Pacific Time.
