KENT, WA–Here at Prost Amerika, we like to take a trip off the beaten path of the outdoor game and take in the indoor game in the form of the Major Arena Soccer League. Yuriy Tsupruk was on hand for the Tacoma Stars’ game against the San Diego Sockers at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.

The Stars were up 7-5 late in the fourth quarter before an incident with 2:12 to go in regulation led to the sending off of the Sockers’ Charlie Gonzales and the Stars’ Raphael Cox. The Sockers had already lost a player to a red card in Boris Pardo for foul and abusive language. Yet, something lit in the Sockers as they managed to score twice with the sixth attacker and tie the game at 7-7 and then win 2:24 into overtime on a goal by Tavoy Morgan.

The win puts the Sockers within one point of Western Conference leading Texas Outlaws as teams get two points for winning in overtime or a shootout while the losing side in that situation gets one points. Tacoma remain third in the West on 16 points, ten behind San Diego.

The Monterrey Flash have by far the best record in the MASL at this point with a record of 13-0-0 and 37 points–seven clear of second place in the East Utica City.
