Seattle continues to impress in this young season. Stefan Cleveland, in his first MLS match since 2018, filled in for the injured Stefan Frei in goal made three saves and got a clean sheet. Xavier Arreaga headed in a corner in the 57th minute while Brad Smith completed a spectacular team goal in the 73rd to give the Sounders a 2-0 win over LAFC. The Sounders have now won four on the bounce and maintain a four-point lead in the West over LA Galaxy. LAFC are off to a 1-2-2 start are are currently bottom of the West on goal difference.
