Portland, OR – The Portland Thorns’ first match of their Spring Invitational would be a 2-1 win against the Chicago Red Stars. The game winning goal for Portland came in the 76th minute when Thorns captain, Christine Sinclair, converted off a pass by Tobin Heath.
