Photo Gallery: New England Revolution 2-1 New York City FC

FOXBOROUGH, MA–Right now, there is the New England Revolution, and there’s everyone else. The Revs maintained a 10-point lead for the Supporters’ Shield over Seattle and a 14-point lead in the Eastern Conference over Nashville with a 2-1 win over New York City FC.

Santiago Rodriguez put NYCFC ahead after 11 minutes, but Emmanuel Boateng would equalize ten minutes later for the hosts. The match would turn in the 53rd minute after Alfredo Morales was sent off for a second bookable offense and Tajon Buchanan and Adam Buksa entered as subs at the hour mark. Buchanan would get the match-winner five minutes later with a rocket from 16-yards out after being set up by Carles Gil returning from injury.

Matt Turner also returned from international duty and made three saves on the night.
