NASHVILLE, TN–Nashville SC are now in second place into the Eastern Conference all to themselves following a 3-1 win over New York City FC on Friday night. Hany Mukthar scored twice either side of an own goal. Valentin Castellanos scored a consolation strike for NYCFC. Both teams were reduced to ten men before halftime as Nashville’s Dax McCarty and NYC’s Maxi Moralez were sent off for a scuffle with each other.
