In their final preseason game the Portland Thorns played the Houston Dash at Merlo Field in Portland. For the Thorns, players like Midge Purce and Kelli Hubly were making good impressions, while veterans like Ifeoma Onumonu and Mana Shim were doing what they do best for their new teams.
With strong physical play back and forth, the game ended in a tie, despite strong last minute pushes from both sides. The season officially begins for the Thorns Saturday, March 24th when they face off against the North Carolina Courage at Sahlen’s Stadium in Cary, North Carolina. The game will we broadcast live on LIfetime, kickoff at 12:30 PT.
